I’ve done a lot of Bible, philosophical, Western… Talmudic, Charonic, Italian, yada, yada, yada. Analyses.
I like to do one on the down dejing right now. You see, it’s a very sophisticated situation that would bring about a tax so monumental, right? And if you guys remember, I’ll talk, I gave, not too long ago, in front of the University of Oxford.
Um, I was talking about… that when Foucault and Chomsky were, uh, debating and stuff like that. Um… And, um…
Yeah, and I talked about how for Foucault, you know, intelligence had nothing to do with nature. It had to do with certain configurations of society, and history, and and ourselves, you know, moving in place and this sort of like, you know, jigsaw puzzle. coming into place and dictating our actions and the things we knew were possible and those were impossible. And those who have, how do you say, a certain amount of industry and autonomy and you can even say privilege or authority or access probably is the best word. are able to bring things from out of the past that we forgot about as a result of these shifting tectonic cultural plates.
And, uh, To close certain doors of the future that may open up as a result of these new configurations. And, um, and all of this is taking place at such an alarming rate that it is really at the purview of a genius to not only view these movements and to tabulate their, um, their going ons. But even more so, to dream.
So that even amongst the worst of all possible worlds, a door opens just big enough for everybody to get through. What that said, I’d like to begin the purpose of why I brought all this up in the 1st place. Dow Deijing, and we have to really think about what it is we mean when we say a man by the name of Laozu.
Right? I mean by the name of Lao Zu. Wrote a book called The Dao Dejing, or The Way.
Now, if you take into consideration, uh, you know, the Chinese emperors of the past, and the struggles the people had with these people. The struggles of culture, the struggles of independence in the struggles of dignity and integrity. I can’t imagine a more hellish situation where you’re basically living your day-to-day life, having to be audited by some power that.
Let me make it very clear, and Hegel makes it very, and I say this on behalf of every Chinese person who ever fucking said fuck everybody. Okay? I look at the Chinese and they’re fucking humble and powerful and it’s because they don’t take no shit.
And let me explain something, like, Chinese culture 1000s of years ago was fucking bullshit because nobody was in power. Nobody liked it, and nobody knew what the fuck was going on and no one could change it. Okay?
Let me explain. The emperor wasn’t in power. He was run by these parliamentary people, but these parliamentary people weren’t even about, because they were, they were beheld into, what’s it called?
What the X, Y, and the, everything was deferred. You understand? You think like, oh, the father had rights over his daughter, but the father was being spoken to by his father, and his father was being spoken to by the elder, and the elder was younger than everybody, and he was just in that position because somebody put him on.
You know what I’m saying? It was that kind of bullshit. Everybody was just making sure everybody else believed in the story.
Nobody was living their story. Nobody was living their life, and nobody, and you could say that, it’s very hard. Humanity was like this thing that was ugly and that civilization was keeping the evils of humanity at bay.
And you can think, you could find this all in civilization and its discontents, pursuming Freud. That’s what all this motherfucker’s been saying is that basically the Chinese had it right. But, Uh, Loud 2 is like, um, my name is also Carl Young, you know what I mean?
And I’m here to show you why you’re Carl’s Jr. You know what I’m saying? For real, real.
The judge is about… What happens when we lose touch with our footing? Hegel famously said, you know.
Uh, you know, history doesn’t walk on its head. And, uh, Merlo Ponty, he responded. He was like, it may be true that history doesn’t walk on its head, but it doesn’t think with its feet.
You know what I mean? Very, very delicious, delicious cooking, but the German and French parties. God bless you.
All of this has to say that the evolution of our becoming, from the very 1st worm, all the way to the fucking galactic, super Megatron Optimus Prime. know what I mean? And Elon, the play on Optimus and Hippopotamus is so hypocritical of you to say, you get that? You like that?
It’s hypnosis. Hypno, baby. Hippie.
Baby. Baby. There’s, you know, there’s sections of the doubt aging that are incredible, and I would be just completely bereft of any intelligence whatsoever.
If I were to tell you about the data agent and not to quote from it. Um, and it’s important to realize just how monumental this book is, not just from my words, but from the actual source. Because I’m telling you, this was a response, like we were saying with Foucault.
Do you know what I mean? Shifting, there, these shifting tectonic plates, and And from the very beginning, I was like, it’s the Aryan who was the one who was, but let me tell you something. Laozu…
If he was an Arian, if he was a magician, and if he knew how to read books, he was also something else entirely. Outside of just being my father. Okay?
Um, And, um, yeah, I I’m very happy to be able to. to be able to, um, explain to people. Exactly, yeah. So, let’s just start from the beginning, okay?
This is the first verse. A way that can be walked is not the way. A name that can be named is not the name.
Okay? There are so many different translations of the Dow Dejing, and if you read it, word for word of translation, it makes semiotic nonsense. And yet it functions because The point isn’t to make sense, and this is how Heidigger says, you know, the, you know, intelligibility is suicide.
For philosophy. Because we are going in uncharted territory, okay? And so the Dow Dejing, it is translated.
We’re reading the translated version of this. You know what I’m saying? Um, For example, here’s another translation, the Tao that can be described is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be spoken is not the eternal name, right? So is it Taoism? Is it Taoism, right?
Is it the way that can be named or is it the Tao? And what is the Tao, right? And it’s just like, it doesn’t matter if you really, if you really get to the heart of it, like here’s another one.
The way you can go isn’t the real way. The name you can say isn’t the real name. Heaven and earth being in the unnamed Names, the mother of the 10,000 things.
So the unwanting soul sees what’s hidden. And the ever wanting soul sees only what it wants. Two things.
One origin. But different in name. whose identity is mystery, mystery of all mysteries, the door to the hidden.
